Secure Your Account

The Pocket Network protocol contemplates the use of Application Authentication Tokens to allow Application Clients to access Service Nodes on behalf of the Application. You can secure your account by using one of the three methods:

Using the Pocket Dashboard:

The Pocket Dashboard is the easiest way of creating an AAT by using an easy to use GUI that imports your keys and generate the token.

The AAT-SDK provides a secure way of connecting any JavaScript application to the Pocket Network.
Note: This process requires you to set up a back-end server to store your AAT and create a relay from your DApp to the server.

Using the CLI:

For a quick and seamless setup for connecting your application(dApp), you can use the CLI to generate the token and embed it into your application. Though this way isn't a secure way to sign and send relays like the SDK, we recommend using caution when connecting your application this way.

To connect your DApp to the Pocket Network, you can create an AAT using the Pocket Core CLI or by using the AAT SDK.
